I have thin, fine hair and lately I've noticed a lot of breakage and whispy's that stick straight up. I've tried a lot of the cheaper stuff, but found nothing that works. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ms6 is right, you need protein put into your hair. Beware though, too much protein is a bad thing, and can also break your hair, because it can dry it out. If you decide to use a pure-protein shampoo (like Paul Mitchell's), make sure you alternate it with a moisture shampoo.

My recommendation:
Shampoo/Conditioner: L'Oreal Professional Absolut Repair
Treatment: Now, get a good, heavy conditioner or oil treatment or hair repair solution ( I like Lange Elastin Protein Pak - expensive, but worth it!) Before you wash your hair, apply this to your dry hair - saturate it with the product! Keep it on for at least an hour, or you can sleep in it. Do this once a week, to once an month, depending on the health of your hair. Wash and condition your hair as normal, after this treatment!

Seems like a growing problem with women that I believe has to do with envirmontal, diet, hormonal, & water quality issues.

The first thing I did when this happened to me was stopped using commercial shampoos that are sold in drugstores. They all contain the same ingredient which is Sodium Luareth Sulfate which is an industrial grade degreaser! Now why would you want to use such a potent chemical on your hair which ends up in your hair follicles & detroying them. It has also been linked to cancer.

I switched to Jasons or Giovanni Hair shampoo sold in the health foods isle in your supermarket. The ingredients include tea tree oil, rosemary extract, & a whole slew of natural ingredients that are not harmful to you.

Also take a multi vitamin high in Biotin & Zinc. Those are two things that promote hair growth. I get mine at GNC called 'Women's Hair, Skin & Nails'

GL & I know how you feel.

Redken shampoo is great with moisture and shine for all hair types. Also, make sure when you wash your hair that you only shampoo your scalp, and use plenty of conditioner on the ends of your hair. Highly reccommended, and available at most salons.

Any sulfate unfastened shampoo could desire to do the trick. attempt to get argan oil ones, I examine that argan oil is the perfect oil for battling split ends and to make it strengthen out healthful and robust. seem on line for expert naturals argan oil shampoo. they have a conditioner too (silicone unfastened, additionally substantial). those are those my stylist makes use of, she says they are the perfect.

Aveda makes a lot of great hair products.
You may want to try putting a protein pack in your hair, that will strengthen your hair.

try not using cheap shampoo and conditioner. go to a salon and tell them your problem and they can help. try using pureology is expensive but worth the price it last a really long time. cheap product will not help your problem.
