I had long straightish hair both my parents had curly hair, when I cut my hair to just above the shoulders it turned curly and now that is how it is for me. Does hair change from straight to curly or vice versa very often??

I'm originally a blonde, although not this light, and tried dying it back from a deep brown. All that was affected was my roots, so I'm super super light at my roots and the rest of my hair is brown/blonde. What to do????

Right, so I bought a new product(Luminous Color Glaze) labeled for people with ruby to mahogany hair(for deeper, richer shades of red hair), and since I'm terrible at this kind of thing, could someone tell me what shade of hair I have, and if this applies to me? There's also one for brighter, vibrant red hair, I think.

I want to know what you think is the best shampoo that straightens hair. I am currently using Bed Head Control Freak So that my hair actually stays somewhat straight (my hair is really poofy and wavy sometimes and my bangs are really wavy so it kinda helps). I have already tried Herbal Esences Straightening shampoo and it doesn't really work. So please tell me some good brandes or some brandes that worked for you. Thanks

My hair is damaged with numerous split ends. What's more worst is that my hair is layered. Are there any ways to prevent more split ends and to cure my damaged hair? I want to grow my hair long and soft not tangled and short.

There is this african-american girl in my school who has straight hair and it looks like it belongs to a white girl (not meaning to be racial) hair. And trust me it's not a perm...I out of all people should know if people have perms....anyway she has medium brown skin like mine so I know she is not mixed..........I asked my mom and she said tht she might have Eyptian descent or something...

i had my hair cut yesterday reeeealy short because of over-bleaching. I'm really glad that it doesnt feel like death anymore, but i miss the length soooo much, how long will it take to grow?

it's a type of haircut i see but i dont know the name. it's like a little mohawk on top. ur left and right sides are short but the back is long and kinda spikey. it doesnt have to be spikey though. anyone know the name or have a pic of it?

My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders & it seems like it just will not grow! I noticed that it seems to be breaking off at a certain point. Just at the ends--about 1/4 of an inch. So Ibrush my hair and look down on my shirt and have these little pieces of hair on it. It happens no matter what I do--even with regular trims.

What is causing this & how can i prevent/stop it? Any recommended products? Is it because I use a straightener (I know that doesn't help--but that can't be the only reason!)

I've heard this from friends and salon workers alike, but am unsure of the reason. It seems like the dirtier you hair is, the harder it would be for the dye to get through the oils and styling products.
