Candyman,
Black hair coloring is the most difficult color to remove from your hair. It must be stripped, and you will get the best results if you have it done by a professional colorist. There are tricks to getting stripper to work correctly, and with the least damage. Then another color can be applied over the stripped hair.

Whew. Lived through this one myself. I've dyed my hair every color, and this was the only one that I had to go to a salon to fix.

The salon had to apply what they called a "soap pack" that consisted of diluted hair bleach and a strong shampoo. I would recommend you go to a salon, because you indicated you have already tried other dyes, and the base colors are important. The black dye that I used had a green/blue base and my natural color base is yellow (blond and brown). As the black dye started to fall out of my hair, green patches started appearing. Ugh. The pack they used looked purple, but my hair came out blond.

My sister (a very blond-blond) had to have a similar procedure done from swimming in a chlorine pool. Her hair had turned light green from the chlorine reaction.

Warning: I don't know how light your natural color is, but this was a very expensive lesson for me!

You may have to strip your hair before dyeing it a different color. Otherwise it has to grow out. My sister used to strip
her hair when she dyed it a lighter color. The stripper is sold
there by the dyes aisle, or at a beauty supply place.

Go to the hairdressers... you will need too bleach it, i would suggest not doing it yourself as bleach is extremely strong and can damage your hair, get a professional. It may take a while to get a colour you will like.. if you want blonde that is. Otherwise you can bleach your hair, then apply a colour on afterwards as long as its gentle.

you cant get black dye out unless you use anti dandruff shampoo to help it fade quicker or get it stripped whih damages your hair, but black dye fades out quite fast with anti dandruff shampoo
