recently i just realize that i have strand of white hair! and so wanna know more abt it. thanks in advance

White hair is caused by a copper deficiency. You can either take supplements or eat more foods that are rich in copper.

A white or gray hair is a hair strand with no pigment in it. I don't know what the stuff is called that causes a certain hair color but that is what it is from a mal formed hair folicle. It is very interesting. Also too if your eyes lack pigment they would be red!

Gray hair is Hereditary and most have this gene. some get gray at an early age, others gray when they get older and some never gray at all (seldomly). I Know lots of people who have gray hair that are still young they have it becuase of a different pigment in some of their hair follicles. I even know a five year old with a white streak in his hair!
It's normal and will keep growing gray even if you pull it out.

Most times it is do to high stress levels. My sister is 22 and she has a few gray hairs. Just try not to stress as much, and take some time to relax. Also, drinking coffee can cause it too.

if you find a white strand of hair it is usually caused my stress or maybe the follicle has lost the pigment to that one strand... there is nothing to worry about everyone has at least one white hair... don't stress

It may run in your family. If one of your parents or grandparents had white hair at a young age, you may have also picked up that gene. Although stress is also a possibility.
