I'm originally a blonde, although not this light, and tried dying it back from a deep brown. All that was affected was my roots, so I'm super super light at my roots and the rest of my hair is brown/blonde. What to do????

You have to buy a separate bleaching kit. Bleach all the color out of your hair and then add the blonde that you want.

Either that or go darker. Use something like Loreal Color Spa for coloring darker.

Use a permanent hair color after bleaching.

You are brave, good luck!

did you have some of the deep brown left in your hair? If the previous color was not completely grown out, your roots would really only be the part that got back to the blonde.I just did my daughters hair lastnight with blonde highlights and the only thing that changed was the roots as she had a light brown color in it.

you could try to put a different die that matches your new hair colour in your roots (if i were you i would use a die specifically made for roots and not just normal hair die) that's all i could tell you. My only other suggestion is to go to a hair dresser and see what they can do or what they say about it.

Your going to have to bleach it.
You probably used regular light dye on it right???
thats why only your roots got lighter and not the rest since dark dye is very very hard to take out.
Your gonna have to bleach it. =]
