cut down on use of straighteners - trust me it makes a HUGE difference!
also, i don't know if you want to try this but - massaging almond oil into your hair and then leaving it for about 30mins then thoroughly washing with shampoo works to make hair thicker. But only if you do it regularly, say about 1-2 times per week.

Best thing I can tell you to do is stop pulling your hair back , alot of pulling on Dry hair will cause it to break off, and you really need to use less heat on your hair.. you need to find a good Conditioner.
I suggest creme of Nature shampoo/Conditioner and using motion's CPU for deep Conditioning..
Because you are of Mixed race your hair is dry like most African americans hair, you should use some type of light oil I suggest KEMI oil its light all you need is a tiny bit.. and when you condition your hair make sure you start at the root and work it through your ends... washing your hair daily isnt good I would wash it every 2 days ..
I only know this because I have the same hair type and I have mixed children.

There are many methods to make our hair grow faster, shine , glitter in natural ways without using chemicals. Learn here https://bitly.im/aMPMe Men, and sometimes women, notice that their hair is thinning prematurely for several different reasons. Age, menopause, pregnancy, genetics, illness, and other factors all play a role in hair loss. Sure, you can use drugs or you can go in for a hair transplant or fusion, but sometimes the easiest, most inexpensive solution, is to try to stop hair loss naturally.

Don't use straighteners everyday. Also, your hair might be thinning because you tie it everyday. You can tell when there is breakage in hair caused by hair ties.
I personally have never used any of those products that make your hair thicker. But, as long as you don't go overboard, I don't see the problem in trying them out.

Use thickening cleansing brokers. there are various shampoos and conditioners on the marketplace that are geared in direction of helping somebody thicken her hair. they may well be offered at hair salons or some drug shops. Nioxin and Rogaine are between the main properly-known ones. the main to fulfillment with those products is making use of them often.

I would try Nioxin or Rejuvx to thicken thin hair. This helps to strength hair at the scalp. check out this advice: http://www.salonlines.co.uk/advice/index.php?p=1&category_id=16&article_id=15

put layers in your hair.
and get it trimmed often.
if you put it in a pony tail because of a big forehead,
side bangs might be a good idea.
alos, your hair could be getting thinner becuase you are putting your hair back.
