Hair - February 2007

I've tried cutting it, spraying it, ect, but nothing is working. I can only put it up into a pony-tail, or it looks awful. Are there any other ways to put it up for sports?

I have really curly strawbery blonde hair but always have it pulled back does any one have any ideas other let it down (a style) i would love to have a really short cool haircut but my hair is kinda frizzy and when its straightened it doesnt go sleek and sinny?? any ideas at all??

I am a light skinned African American male. I have had black hair with blond mixed in (during the summer) on my arms and facial hair. As of late me beard has been turning red(during the winter). Has anyone seen this and knows what’s the cause?

My concern is which will lasts longer and which requires the least maintenance. I'm currently wearing breaids, but everyday I have 1 or 2 that come. Also, I have an asymetrical bob, is it possible to have weave put in, even though my hair is shorter in the back?

But, my mom will NOT let me dye my hair. She says it is too expensive and I will have to dye it all the time, and she says I'll get bored with it, and want to go back to my natural color eventually but won't be able to. I want to lowlight it, and she's 'thinking about it'. Any color ideas? (i have slightly dark, multi-faceted blonde hair)

I also feel bored with my haircut. But I just got it trimmed, so I have to wait a couple months. My hair is about four inches below the shoulder with face-framing, long layers and a bit of side bangs. It is mostly straight, and I have an oval face.

I really need some ideas for a hair color or haircut, and ways to convince my mom. Suggestions?

I noticed in the past few days that i've gotten a couple of white hair! its really bugging me since i have black hair! someone told me to stop using hair gel [i use loreal's normal hold] , so i was wondering if using hair gel could have that affect on hair?! ok, so i have really thich hair, which i recently cut down to my shoulders. I'd like to be able to straighten it or find a hairstyle to look good. When i just air dry my hair, the bottom half of my hair gets uncontrolably curly, but when i blow dry it, the bottom half gets kind of curly, but my hair turns into like an afro. So most of the time i just put my hair in a pony tail, do you have any suggestions of other things i can do with my hair?

I am 5'3" and weigh 265lbs. I have recently found out that I have Alopecia Areata and have a huge bald area on the front of my scalp. I was thinking that maybe I could just shave my head...I don't have a lot of money, and not enough for a wig.
