I noticed in the past few days that i've gotten a couple of white hair! its really bugging me since i have black hair! someone told me to stop using hair gel [i use loreal's normal hold] , so i was wondering if using hair gel could have that affect on hair?! Also if not, what makes ur hair go white??? [I'm only 17!]

I dont blive it does. unless your hair gel has some sort of strong chemicals in it (which the type you use dosent) it dont think it does. stress, age, chemicals youve put in your hair and other factors like where u live and genes affect your hair color. you can get it dyed over put be careful. too much dyeing of the hair can make it white (overprocessing).
Hope i helped =]

To my knowledge hair gel has no affect on the color of your hair, the only thing the gel does is helps to control your style better.
There are alot of reasons people go white, or gray. You could of inherited it from your family. White or gray hair is hair that has just simply lost the color pigment. I have heard that certain medications can cause premature loss of hair color and stress can cause you to become white headed. This one I believe because I am only 3- and I have more white hair than my mother who is in her late 50's. If your not ready to be white headed then you can always use color, and join me in the battle to keep my youthful appearence as long as I can. Good Luck!

typically not.....I use very little gel in styling hair, but read the ingredients to make sure that it does not contain any peroxide. It actually sounds like you are getting some grey hair....I had a cousin who began getting grey hair when he was the same age. But if for some reason the gel does have peroxide then all you hair would be getting lighter....but it only sounds like grey to me.

Hair gel? No, it's an aging thing. There's more grey hairs to come, get used to it.
