Hair - February 2007

Well, my hair is long and curly. lately i've been trying different things to make it healthy. I put conditioners and moisturaizers on a weekly basis, but i try a new one the other day and i left it on longer that what the bottle said and my hair became wavy and straight in some areas....i want my hair back to what it was and i really dont know what to do. I washed it a lot to see is the product will rinse off and nothing happened. i dont know what to do...help!

i have extremely straight hair!! im not allowed to get a perm..even though i really want one. b/c my mom says that i'll regret it and it will dry out my hair or soemthing. I've tried to use hot sticks, scrunching, and hot rollers but none of them work!!! my hair will not hold a curl very well. i can't put curlers in my hair because my hair is so fine and soft that they just slip right out of my hair! so i was wondering if there is anyone out there who has anyt suggestions for a new hairstyle for me? it can't be anything too hard, time consuming, or expensive because im only 13 and i can't go spend money on stuff like that because my mom won't let me. help?

it doesnt matter what colour i dye it after about 4 washes im almost back to my natural colour it never seems to stay in long enough for my roots to even grow. please help

I am a 14 year old female, and any teenage girl is going to worry about her hair.. mine is shoulder length and very dry and has split ends. I use products everyday[I alternate between brands] I know its not good to use a certain brand of products/shampoo/conditioner for 2 months/over 2 months, so i try and change it at least once every 1 month. I straighten my hair everyday.. because if i dont it looks funny and frizzy. I use anti frizz serum by pantene and redken and i use anti breakage system by pantene and redken. [ like i said before i alternate everyday on the products] SO BASICALLY.. i need help. =]

I've heard that tourmaline creamic flat iron are good if not the best because they don't damage the hair as much. What do you recommend?

If recommending a specific model, just know that I don't plan to spend more than $45.00 on it.

My hair is really curly and thick with lots of volume, what do you think would be the best way to style my hair? I normally just scrunch it with frizz ease mousse and put in a thick head band with part of the hair in the front flat. Sometimes I just use bobby pins for different things. My hair isn't that long it's in the process of growing out, it's almost to my shoulders if it was straightened it would be. LOL I don't know there's only so much you can do when it's in the process of growing out. Thanks.

I have hard water and instead of getting a filtering system for the house, I would like to just get one for the shower. I believe the filter would make my hair soft and shiny.

Hi i want to get my hair cut but as it is quite long as i have been growing it for ages i am worried about getting the hairdress to do it. I know how i want my hair but it doesnt mean to say that the hait dresser will do it like i want it even if i tell them or show them a picture. The type of style i want is layers put in but sort of shorter on top and longer at the bottom. You will know what i am on about as these days you see loads of girls go round with there hair like this. Anyways ive had my hair layer loads of times and some think i mean feathered so i end up with my hair by by ears and all fluffy, Some just layer the front and some just add a few to the back. The thing is am i asking for it wrong or what.
You know the hair style where you have blonde on top and black/brown underneath and you have the hair layerd so the black will show through, either through the bottom of the hair or more at the sides. If this has a different name please can someone let me know

I have dark brown hair. I've never dyed my hair or highlighted it before. It's been it's natural color for 19 years now. I was thinking of putting some highlights in it though. What color would look best in my hair? blonde colors, light browns...and is there a chance the color wont stay?
