it doesnt matter what colour i dye it after about 4 washes im almost back to my natural colour it never seems to stay in long enough for my roots to even grow. please help

What brand are you using? Are you lightening or darkening? What shampoo are you using? What is your natural color?

it depends u should get shapoo for collor treated hair
u might not be mixing the product right either
and also u might have dark hair and for dark hair
u have to get a product for dark hair
and if any of that doesnt work than bleach ur hair(not recommended) and dye over it

most store brought hair colourant say they are permanent but really there not. you should use colour protect shampoo and conditioner but dont over do it. it also depends on the percentage peroxide that is being used

im not an expert on hair dye, but maybe ur hair is dark and ur trying to go light. or maybe you didnt leave the hair color in your hair long enough
