You brush all of your dry hair back starting at the front of the head all the way to the nape. Then you put the cap on. Then you take the little pick tool thing that they give you and you pick out some hair. You don't have to take out to fill all of the holes, just take out how much you want. LIke if you want alot of highlites then do all the holes, if you odn't want that many highlites then odn't do all of the holes. Then brush on the bleach, let it sit depending on the color you want to obtain. Then Rinse with the cap on then take off the cap to shampoo.

are you talking about a tint cap? where you pull strands through holes all over? leave that to a professional and go to a salon.

we offer much better techniques for highlighting and lowlighting - tint caps can end up making you look stripey, leopardy, etc. etc. not to mention the damage you can do to your hair with drugstore-quality lighteners and tints!

but, if you must, you want to keep your hair parted how you would normally, and pull the cap straight on. don't attempt to pull too much hair through each hole.
