I've heard that tourmaline creamic flat iron are good if not the best because they don't damage the hair as much. What do you recommend?

If recommending a specific model, just know that I don't plan to spend more than $45.00 on it.

Much thanks

Remington "Wet 2 Straight" $27.99 at Target!!!

This straightner is AMAZING!!! You can have dripping wet hair and it has vents so that you can dry your hair.

If you want ideas on things to look for:
~ceramic
~timer so that after a while if it isn't in use it will turn off
~heat settings
~lock so that when you are done you can fold it flat
~ions make your hair not frizzy as much
~swivel cord
~long-ish warranty

Hope that helps!!!

If you don't want to spend more than $45 on it, you can't really get the good quality ones.

I'm not sure how this costs but there is this straightener from Conair, it steams your hair while it straightens so it doesnt get very dry.

I've tried this cordless straigtener from Braun, under $50. It's not that bad but it's not that durable.

If all else fails, ceramic flat irons really are the best. If you dont want to spend a lot on it, a lot a little budget for hair products that protect your hair from too much heat.

Ceramic flat irons are better, they get hot quicker, and get hotter than regular irons. I have a Vidal Sassoon one I got at target for less than 25.00 and it works just fine. Make sure you find one that has different heat settings, especially if you have thin or fine hair. Thin hair straightens easier, but it can burn and damage at higher temps. If you have really thick hair (like I do) you need one that gets really hot or you dont get good results. Whatever you buy, make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry before straightening. Otherwise your hair can be damaged, plus, it wont straighten as well if your hair dries afterwards.
Check out your local beauty supply store and they will recommend a good one for your hair. Try Sally Beauty Supply. Hope this helps!

Make sure that it is Ceramic - the Chi is really good. Check Sephora, Trade Secret, & Harmons (or a local Beauty Supply store). Some high end salons carry them too.

Yes, they are very good. My two daughters both bought one and they work really well and their hair is not damaged at all by them. They purchased them at the local beauty salon where they have their hair cut.
