I put conditioners and moisturaizers on a weekly basis, but i try a new one the other day and i left it on longer that what the bottle said and my hair became wavy and straight in some areas....i want my hair back to what it was and i really dont know what to do. I washed it a lot to see is the product will rinse off and nothing happened. i dont know what to do...help!

it will right itself in time,, for now enjoy then new look! Next time you wash it, perhaps let it dry naturally, it should curl again

I'm a curly to frizzy..... overconditioning is what straightens it out.. I'd try washing your hair with no conditioner at all, then trying the tiniest bit, increasing a little each time til you get the right amount for the kind you are using. Often using the kind you comb in after washing and leave in rather than rinse out is easier to deal with. I love Fructis.......

What you have been doing to your hair has made all the follicles open up which has resulted in the frizziness/wavyness, it will work its way out in time, until then use straighteners if you want your hair straight again but dont use anymore chemicals on your hair! i suspect that too much in one go is what has made your hair do this in the first place! just use shampoo for 2 weeks and then use conditioner but just a regular one! and give your hair time to settle down!

1. NO NOTHING. No products in your hair.
2. Shower every twelve hours with an extra amount of shampoo.
3. No conditioner.
In 2-3 weeks, your hair will eventually lose all the weight we naturally put on it, and spring back into shape.

was it a relaxer???? cause that's all i can think of that would do something like that....anyway, use infusium products. i have really curly long hair and i damage my hair a lot due to straightening it and infusium takes good care of it. so does treseme shampoo. that stuff works really well. so i would say to use those to get your hair healthy again and STOP USING THAT OTHER THING YOU USED!!! you can always go to sallys, the hair place if there is one where you live, and ask the people that work there they usually know what theyre talking about!

first of all...you SHAMPOO hair, and you WASH cars

secondly, what exactly did you put in your hair?

thirdly, you seem to spend a lot of time on your hair, and it sounds like you use crappy shampoo and conditioner. you should go to your local salon and talk to a stylist, who can fix you up with some decent shampoo and conditioner, so you won't have to spend this much time trying to keep it soft or whatever you were trying to do.

a reasonably priced shampoo for curly hair is redken fresh curls.

remember, salon products are 100% guaranteed only when sold by a professional! this means no meijers/target/rite-aid - for all you know, it could be counterfeit!

Try just washing it.. like your normally do but with a different shampoo and conditioner. Maybe even try herbal essences...they have a curly and wavy shampoo and conditioner! trust me it'll go back!

positioned on it down for 2 weeks instantly and brush it out in the previous it dries...I had an similar difficulty and thats the in common words way that the flyaways stopped. also, that is somewhat extra intense priced than the shampoo I typically use yet Aussie Shamp and Cond. worked extremely nicely. that is in common words like 3$ a bottle yet i'm used to really low priced stuff. It does help.

Have you tried a deep cleansing shampoo that will remove build up? Kerastase and Aveda make a good one. Normal shampoos are not very good at removing hair products.

Just leave it for as long as u can without washing it, styling it etc...this will give your hair time to replace it's natural oils from your scalp.
