I have reddish brown hair and want to dye it black. My split ends are all over and I cut them when I can but I can only do so much...

People's views are mixed, so do you think dying my hair black will mask the damage of split ends (making it look healthier and less damaged), or make them stand out more (seeing as how the splits are naturally white and I would be dying it black)?

Please no one just tell me to go to a hairsresser. I don't have the money for a pofessional cut/dye and thats why I'm asking here!

I was wondering, if medically speaking the UV rays from the sun has any effect on color or fullness of my hair. I noticed that before i started covering my hair for religious purposes my fair color was alot more vibrant and it seemed fuller....but as time went on and i started covering my hair most of the time i saw the color start to fade and my hair seemed thinner and it fell out easier....can lack of sunlight have this effect on hair?

My boyfriends best friend told us the other day that he NEVER uses shampoo. I find this odd. Is this a common thing that I am unaware of? Am I the weird one for thinking it is dirty to just use hot water? Please let me know.

I have long and dark arm hair that is bothering me. My skin is tan so I can't bleach it, but then again I would rather not be hairless. Shaving is also out of the question because rubbing against a stubbly arm is highly unpleasant. Is there a way to have a normal amount of arm hair, or is it just all or nothing?

i have extremely straight hair!! im not allowed to get a perm..even though i really want one. b/c my mom says that i'll regret it and it will dry out my hair or soemthing. i take a shower at night and when i wake up i straighten it i use this smooth and sleek cream for my hiar but it says to apply to damp hiar.. well my hair is already dry so can i jsut apply i anyways.. i rly dont feel lik takin a whole shower and blow drying.
