i have brown healthy hair and occasionally, probably due to stress, i get a couple strands of white hair. is it better for me to cut these strands of hair or simply pull it out? p.s. it does not hurt pulling it out

well cutting the white hairs is obviously just shortening them..not getting rid of them..and pulling them out..well self-explanitory..thats the end of them...its a wives-tale that the hairs will just come back if you pull them, or they'll come back in greater numbers..if you pull them..
thats ridiculous..white hairs will come back eventually..in random spots..in time...cause thats just a part of aging..so whether you pull them or cut them..it just depends on your preference..
personally, i'd yank 'em

It doesn't matter if you cut or pull. It will probably continue to grow back gray, but just the one that you took out unless others start to lose their color for other reasons. Pulling and cutting won't affect anything other than a temporary solution to the color of that single hair. Neither makes more hair grow back white, like some people say - that is a wives' tale.

i hate to break it to you but those are grey hairs. got my first few when I was like 22. thought the same thing as you. started to pluck them as I saw them. However, as time wore on and I approached late 20s, it became too much. I had to start dying my hair. At 30 I had more grey than my 55 year old mother.

so far as I know stress does not cause grey/white hair. It is a lack of pigmentation. could be anything from genetics, poor nurtrition, etc.

There is no truth to the myth that if you pull out a white hair, two will grow back. PULL AWAY BABE
