the only way i get waves is when my hair is kinda long and when i get it cut they go away. how do i make them stay permanent and when my hair is short?

I've been preventing myself from getting a hair cut because I want my hair to grow but I have really bad split ends that I am constantly picking at. Should I just go and get my hair cut to get rid of the split ends even though I want to grow it out long or does anyone have any advice to stopping this bad habit?

I've got hair two inches past my waist, really long and wavy-ish. (Tends to be ultra straight on rainy days) I've started some new hairstyles and like it parted and waved on one side so far...but I'm still hunting up some more. Does anyone have ideas?

My hair is naturally three different colors... I have...

-Thick black wavy hairs
-Medium-thickness brown straight hairs with red, orange, and yellow highlights
-Fine blond straight hairs

What exactly is up with my hair? When I was a baby, it was all curly, then after my first haircut, it went straight.

If you could tell me what ethnicity has hair like this, it'd be helpful. Thanks.

I have dark brown hair, i had carmel and auburn highlights put in about 2 months ago but they weren't as light as i had hoped. I would like to put put some honey or blonde highlights in at home. I have olive skin tone and blue eyes. Is it too soon to do this again and it costs too much to go to a salon. Iam a little nervous about doing this myself. What is the easiest safest product to use. I'm thinking about getting them...but see I've had straight bangs before and it was really hard to train them to stay together, they always wanted to separate in the middle...my hair now is parted a little on the side and my bangs have grown out to about chin length...I want them angled, will it be hard to train them again?

I have dark brown hair, and a light yellow skin tone. I want highlights and not sure what colors to get. I do not look good with really light hair, so keep that in mind! I'm thinking a Carmel color, and also want another color in there, what other color should I get? (I don't like red by the way). How about a couple lowlights in the mix?

I have shoulder length, dark brown hair with red lowlights, and my hair is really thick and curly. (Not teeny tiny curls either. BIG ones.)
