Frizz is caused when moisture hits an individual strand of hair and reacts with it, causing it to dry and become light, which is why it is always seperate. In some cases, it will curl up. Like mine.I use Frizz-Ease Step 5 Secret Weapon to make the frizz dissapear and for shine to appear. :) Also, if you don't blow dry your hair, before you get out of the shower, rinse your hair with cold water. It locks in the moisture and makes it shiny to HELP prevent frizz.

It depends what kind of hair you have. I have really curly hair and really like sunsilk brand, especially the green line. I use all 3 of the green line products, and once a week I use the pink mouse (it comes in a little tub). It is completely non-greasy and doesn't make your hair feel greasy, but it keeps your curls non frizzy. If your hair is more wavy then curly, I'd use the blue line, but the same thing with the pink tub. These products are available at almost all drug stores. CVS, most major Markets, etc. Easy to buy, and about 5 dollars per bottle.
If you need to get rid of frizz, I'd recommend it.

If you are talking about frizzy hair, I lived in FLorida for a while and the humidity caused me to have frizzy hair. I tried everything in the store, but a lot of the products made my hair greasy looking and feeling, so I started washing my hair every three days. Now my hair is better so I was it every two. If it looks like its getting oily I wash it. If not, over washing can cause frizzes, and also heat can cause it, lots of stuff can. From your water to salt in the air, to just your hairs natural thing. So I would try washing it less often and conditioning it when you do. I had trouble with this at first, because I like to wash my hair everyday, but it is naturally curly and I just can't.

In most cases damage causes frizz, unless you have naturally curly hair. To keep damage down, keep your hair trimmed every six weeks. Try to keep as much heat off the hair as possible, including the heat from the shower. Hope this helps :)

Usually when your hair is dry, it frizzes up, it expands to grab moisture in the air. You can start doing deep conditioning treatments to help fight it, you can also get you hair trimmed regularly to get rid of those dead ends.
