Yes, Farouk Systems has CHI Turbo irons that have heat settings and also a WEE CHI that is small enough to do waves and bumps that has an udjustable heat setting. Girls i do hair with no longer use a stove at all with these tools.

Hey Girl!!!!!! There are plenty of flat irons for African Americans. I have some flat irons all I do is grease my hair then flat iron it and its turns out so shiny and healthy looking. Or you can use a comb through blow dryer it works just as good. Don't blow dry or flat iron your hair everyday because the heat will destroy your hair. But maybe and month and a half after a perm flat iron your hair. Or only flat iron your hair when needed. Usually if i wash my hair it straightens on its on. Don't put to many chemicals in your hair because it will destroy it. Just put lots of grease and oil and wrap your hair nightly and it will continue to be straight. Wrap your hair with a silk scar for the best results though. Go to the website below for some cheap flat irons they also have other great products too. Good Luck Girl!!!!!!!!!!

You can use the same flatirons that caucasians use. Make sure you get one that has a temp control on it because it takes a little more heat for African American hair than it does for caucasian hair. Your hair is a little more course. Hope this helps :)

Chi Turbo or the Gold and hot one is pretty good too, you can really use any flat iron, they are all pretty good on your hair, just make sure you use one with ceramic heat.

the chi catches your hair alot once you've course or curly hair The sedu receives more beneficial effects and lasts longer. I have tried both and the chi stuck on fireplace by way of defective cord wiring. The sedu nonetheless works large, even after my 2d 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of dropping it interior the dorm's washroom ^.^

ur best luck is to buy a CHI ($125-$160) and the CHI hair products (gels, hairsprays.. etc..) to go along with it..
