my natural hair-color is black, i already have french cognac tips. will it damage my hair?

You should be fine just putting the color on yourself. Go to the store and buy a box of the black hair die and do it yourself. If you have any blonde in your hair, however, i suggest going to the salon to have it done. Doing it yourself with blonde in your hair is a VERRY bad idea. The at-home kits arent as strong as the stuff they use at the salons, and it will not take to the blonde verry well. It will apear noticably lighter, and may even look grey. Trust me... I've made that mistake

i dye my hair black all the time and never ran into a problem... its dying it lighter that has really messed it up.

Color doesn't damage your hair as much as bleaching or perming does. Go for it.

just put the black dye on, black covers anything. it should be fine!
