Hair - December 2006

My hair is a dirty blonde color, very frizzy, and extremely curly, but flat on top. How can I style it so that it looks better. Any tips to blow drying?

longer layers on top, shorter inside

OR

short on top, longer inside

which is more:
1.low maintence
2. versatile

now i have shorter layers on top and it poofs out at the side. i dont have half an hour to style hair and i dont use straihteners/

I'm a guy and I have I hair cut to a normal short length.

My hair strands are too thick and I have tooo many strands.
I have to have it "thinned" with thinning shears at the hair dressers, other wise I'd have very bulky mushroom hair...
I don't like thinning because it means I'll have shorter hair poking out of longer strands...

Not having straight hair doesn't help either. They're not curly but randomly bent at different lengths..

Would there be any way to recuce the thickness of my hair stands or reduce the number of strands?

My hair is naturally auburn ,long and wavy(plus "baby hair" on my hairline)....I have heard this saying all my life "GOOD HAIR".What makes one grade of hair better than another to black people?All hair is good in my book as long as you are not bald!!!!

I have really frizzy,dry hair i have alot of split ends and i cant seem to make my hair any better. I buy alot of shampoo but none of them seem to work i dont want to buy a shampoo that doesent work does anyone know a shampoo that works really good or some sort of treatment i can do to my hair at home? ex.put some oil on it or something like that =D

or when your parents washed your own hair with it? what did you make of the smell? when i was kid, my mother always used vosene to wash my hair, and the smell was truly awful. well, for me that is i hated it. do the shops still sell it today?

PRODUCTS IVE USED:

Frizz ease, ono curl remover, pantene pro v. So far, flat irons work best, but it takes over 30 minutes to do and it lasts about a day.
