I'm a guy and I have I hair cut to a normal short length.

My hair strands are too thick and I have tooo many strands.
I have to have it "thinned" with thinning shears at the hair dressers, other wise I'd have very bulky mushroom hair...
I don't like thinning because it means I'll have shorter hair poking out of longer strands...

Not having straight hair doesn't help either. They're not curly but randomly bent at different lengths..

Would there be any way to recuce the thickness of my hair stands or reduce the number of strands?

I have the exact oppostie problem, and I think you're lucky to have thick hair! Try a leave in conditioner, or a styling cream/lotion that tames frizziness.

your hair is wavy.... and using gel helps alittle, but other than that theres nothing you can do, except maybe get a better haircut.. ask your hair stylist..they may be able to help you.
