or when your parents washed your own hair with it? what did you make of the smell? when i was kid, my mother always used vosene to wash my hair, and the smell was truly awful. well, for me that is i hated it. do the shops still sell it today?

yes they do still sell it but the bottle is a different shape now! it has a flip top lid. it used to have a sort of pyramid shape bottle with a twisty top. the smell reminds me soooooo much of being a kid. i'm 38 now but can still remember the smell!!

The minute I saw your question, I could smell the Vosene smell! It gives hair a really good shine, and it's still on sale. I haven't used it for donkey's years, so I don't know if it still has the same smell.

yes she did but back then they didnt nhave very many diffrent shampoo's just silverkrin and a couple of others and they only had some for dry greasy and normal hair, unlike today whan the bathroom is full of lots of products then we didnt have very many so in our house we use to get vosene as a change one coz it made the hair nice an shiney and two cos it was a chang from the other shampoos for greasy ect

yes they still do and i loved the smell, i still use a form of vosene called T-Gel which has the same smell but keeps my hair nice and dandruff free

Oh how much you brought back memories. My Mum always use to use it on us a children, haven't seen it it the shops for a while but having said that haven't really looked owing to previous experience of using it. He, he - can smell it now.

I've never used it before but my dad did. He even sold some before! He told me it was a really great shampoo but he didn't say anything about the smell so I don't know either. Sorry.

yep,they still sell it. The smell always reminds me of going swimming as a kid because we used to buy it in little packets from the kiosk on the way in.

yeah i remember it the smell was pretty strong alright, i saw it the last day in a pound shop and was half tempted to buy it. have to admit it was very good tho

my mum used to wash my hair with it never saw it until 4 years ago when my fiance was using it & pears coal tar soap love the smell now
