Hair - November 2006

I have GHD original ceramic straighteners, only problem is doing the back is really hard and I end up snagging the hair and making it frizzy. My hair is not curly, just wavy and using straighteners makes me look tons better. Getting someone else to do the back for me is not an option unless I make a friend come over and do it every time I want to straighten (stupid!)

So what are your tips on straightening your own hair with flat irons? Also I was wondering how long you hold the straighteners in your hair for/do you do a swift movement or gradually? And what hair protector spray do you use & how do you spray it - briefly all over the hair or for every section?

I have long thick hair that gets frizzy if I dont straighten it (with a straightening iron), and I dont have time for that so its up 24/7 and thats really bad for your hair... anyone have easy straightening tips? I would like the results to be similair to the iron, flat, non frizzy, straight, shiny, flat..... again. Thanks

Hey!
What is your most favorite shampoo?
I've tried alot, and I found an awesome one. It's called back to basics, and it's raspberry almond. It smells great and it leaves my hair so soft. I get it at the salon, so it's kinda pricey though.
Has anyone tried one called Rusk?? I saw it tonight at london drugs and it smelled good, and i saw an ad for it in a magazine.

That is exactly what my parents and my sister feel.

I have been shaving my head almost daily for the past one and a half years because I love being bald.

Now my parents and my sister are asking me to stop shaving my head as they say a shaved head is a negative point when we start looking out for my life partner.

Is it really so?Does hair plays such a major role in a marriage?Do women still prefer a guy with a head full of hair.

Please girls help me in taking a decision whether or not to keep my head shaved.I will surely appeciate a frank answers.

Can some one give me some pictures of a crew cut, buzz cut.. etc..

Any short hairstyles that look good yet doesnt get in the way when you play sports and easy to maintain? Like a military cut or so, because I'm kind of tired of waking up and having my hair shaped like a cone (from moving around in my dreams heh..) and having to spend like 10mins brushing it up .. It's so annoying that I given up brushing my hair period..

So any recommendation? I resemble my avater a lot.

hey people. wondering if u's could help me. i'm going out tonight for dinner & out on the town in about 3 hrs! i'm not big on doing my hair. its usually a plain pony tail or brushed & left out. its layered, straight, past my shoulders, so pretty long & i dunno what to do... i want it different though, to the usual plain. its very straight & boring at the moment. i don't know how to do braids on my own hair that well... i only have minimal hair products like hairspray, mousse & some wax stuff. please help me! much appreciated! thanks!

My hair is long, semi thick and naturally curly/wavy.
The ends are really dry and brittle, but I'm planning on getting them cut off anyway.

I'm looking for a really good straightener. I have a crappy conair one, it doesn't do a thing.

I want something that isn't terribly harmful to my hair, will keep it straight for a really long time, and not take a million hours to do.

I'd also like an idea on what kind of products to get for it, like a balm and stuff.

Please post with the straightener, price, brand/type of balm + other stuff needed. thankssss.

I currently have brown hair with a lot of blonde high lights. it almost looks blonde. my natural color is a dark blonde almost light brown with natural blonde highlighted tints to it. whenever i dye my hair the other color always comes thru especially when i have highlights in my hair, like i do right now. ive been trying to go back to natural but i am having problems. anyone have any advise?

I have limited hairdressing skills and my girlfriend wants to go super short. She has nice long shiny hair liek you see on some of the commercials, but she wants a short and slick style now with a buzzed back. She wants to go to the high school dance with me like this in a red dress and matching red gloves. She told me that she wants to look like Christy Turlington in an issue of Vogue with finger waves what is to be her short gelled hair. I tried to find some cutting instructions and supplies online, but coul only find the equipment. I even suggested that she leave her hair as it is or just go to a salon, but she thinks it would be sexy if i cut it when we're both naked before taking a shower together. Please, someone help me out?

My hair used to be straight, but a few years ago it began to change. Now it is straight in some areas, wavy in others, and really curley at the front!? I want hair that is either straight, or curley! But it cant seem to make up it's mind! What can i do to solve this? It gets messy and knotted easily. I want an easy solution that will do the least damage to the hair. Any suggestions?
