i have curly, frizzy hair. How do I get it to stay hard and crunchy?

as a hair dresser and somone with naturally curly hair, if you want to wear it curly then do what i do... 1. when you get out of the shower barely towel dry it, just do enough so it isnt dripping down your back.
2. dont brush it run your finger through it to get the majority of the tangles out.
3. Put moose in your hair first that helps with the friz, then put gel in it also. Spray a little hair spray not alot and use an aresol can and keep it far from your hair.
4. then buy a hair dryer with a diffuser it's a circle with things pointing out of it. flip your head upside down and use the diffuser with the blow dryer on of course. and to use the diffuser all you do is out sections of your hait in the difusser and put it up to your scalp dont burn yourself though. when its almost completly dry add more hairspray. Use a lot this time and if its still to wet for you you can blow dry it more with the diffuser of course. and it should be hard andcrunchy and it should stay like that all day long. mine will stay for 2 to 3 days like that so try it and see if it works for you. I have the same type hair and the number 1 rule no matter what styling product you use is no messing with the hair once it is dry. I use a little Aussie Tizz No Frizz and then Glossing Polish. I get mine at Sally Beauty Supply, it is called Silk something $5.99. It keeps the frizz at bay and leave the curls defined, soft and shiny. Do you really want crunchy hair?

KMS Curl-Up Bounceback Spray
They all have what's called magnesium sulfate, which is a curl-enhancing mineral that actually puts curl into straight hair, and redefines curly hair. If I don't have time to straighten and mess with my hair, I get it wet and spray the Curl-Up into it. Have fun!

If you want it to stay frizzy try moussing and then braiding it leave it braided for about an hour and half. Thentake it down and hairspray it but put in a little more mousse first but if you want it to be straight then flatiron it first and when you put the mousse in dont scrunch it up just grab your hair and put the mousse in it going straight down and let it air dry. Then try using holding gel or holding spray.

nicely i'm getting my hair accomplished at Cleopatra's and that's on Chester hill in chillicothe Ohio and that i think of u ought to start taking showers in the morning reason whilst u do no longer u like sleep and how Ur hair gets frizzy and it dries like that!!! And if u dont have time u ought to blow dry it till now u sleep!! And if none of that facilitates you u ought to probably get ur hair straightened for good or get a conair hair straightner and straighten your hair each and every morn in!! lol

Why would you want your hair to be crunchy?! Then you couldn't flip your hair in some annoying guys face to make them shut up. Yea try what the other guys said.

My hair is like that also; i usually wash my hair with mild soap, condition it all once and then rinse and condition the ends again and rinse it towel dry it brush it turn my head upside down and, Apply mousse and scrunch and let it dry in its own time. it kind of depends on how long your hair is but mine is about down to my hip.

Got 2 B Glued is what I use....it keeps the hair in place, hard and gives it a 'wet' look. You can get it at Walmart.

Infusium 23 leave-in treatment, original formula. Just remember if you try it don't wear a light colored shirt..It's been know to stain your clothes.

Scrunch mega hold gel into it when it's wet, then don't touch your hair after it's dried.
