Hair - November 2006

My hair frizzes very bad. I have to keep it in a ponytail. I can't leave it down unless i put tons of gel and hair spray in it or it frizzes everywhere. i hate having it up all the time though. my hair is naturally curly. what do i do? I need to control the frizz but i don't have much money to spend on it. is their anything cheap i can do? Maybe certain shampoos as cheap as possible i should try? Anything..... please help....... thank you in advance for your time and suggestions.

I have always heard peroxide can bleach out hair. Is this true and if so how do you do it? For me to dye my hair, I have to bleach it and by the time I am done it's 30+ dollars. Peroxide is $1 a bottle and bleach kits are 10+...any suggestions? Thanks!

My scalp is very very very oily and my hair looks very stringy and gross every day. I'm noticing skin is disappearing in random spots on my scalp, so I said 'decaying', which I know probably isn't the right term. My scalp also emits a putrid stench which drives people away...ANY help is wanted, my social life is going down the drain.

Alright, so being the idiot I am, I bleached my hair. Well, I tried to.

For the past two years, I've had either red or black hair. The last time I dyed my hair red was over six months ago. Since late July, my hair has been (dyed) black.

Tonight, I bleached my hair because I've wanted blonde hair for a few months now.

I used three boxes of bleach, hoping that would make it more effective. Nope. I left the bleach on for two hours.

Now my roots are uber platinum blonde, and the rest of my hair is Ronald McDonald orange with occasional black streaks.

Should I dye my hair back to black, or if I go to a hair salon tommorrow do I still have a chance of getting blonde hair?

I'm looking for a permanent blue hair dye. I use it for the tips of my hair after it's bleached, of course. (my hair is typical Indian black).
The thing is, I can't keep redying it with Manic Panic during swim season - that would be every other day! I was thinking of using Indigo. You know, that natural plant dye. Except I can't find it, or any other kind of artificial blue. I'm looking for a dark, royal blue, by the way. Not sky blue.

and i hated how people treated me as a blonde, so now i want my old hair back, the new one makes me depressed, like, really depressed...and i have the money to dye it back, i earned it over the summer, but my mom thinks that it won't work, would it work if i dyed it back, or would i have to go to someone to do it. and if i would have to go and have someone do it, would it be like color correction? and doesn't color correction take forever?

My sister has headlice. We just found out a few days ago. She had it when she was little and it took a year to get rid of it. We even washed her hair in kerosene when she was little. We tried everything. After a year, they were finally gone. It was bad then. She had eggs and bugs. This time she's only got the eggs. It's not that bad right now. I'm just wandering, does anyone out there no of anything that will cure it without using any harmful chemicals? You don't even have to be 100% sure it works. We're willing to try anything. So have you heard any myths that will supposabley kill them? If so, lets here it. I don't care how crazy it sounds, but please, don't make anything up. I'm asking nicely, please take this seriously. We're desparate to get this gone! Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions.
