once I get a body perm, how do I maintain it? Brush or wide tooth comb, scrunch with mousse, blow dry, what?

well i used to have a perm... so you brush it out with a comb... not a thick brush cause then it will get frizzy. use gel & hair spray if you dont know what kind to use then ask a saloon lady person and they should know depending on your hair type.

Hi
Wide tooth comb, do not pull but move in short strokes going over areas more than once til tangles are out. Use a good detangling solution. If you must blowdry use low heat and gentle speed or the curls will turn to frizz.

If you want to straighten your hair use a ceramic flat iron and do so sparingly. VERY large rollers can also smoothe out the most unruly of body perms. Scrunching and mousse (at the roots only) should help provide fullness and curl definition.

Enjoy your perm and do not wash it, shower it or otherwise wet it for at least 48 hours so that the solution has time to cure.

What worked best for me was to use a wide tooth comb, and scrunch with mousse, never blow dry and always condition well.
