My scalp is really dry and I think i'm getting dandruff. I washed my hair three times with Head and Shoulders. What else can i do to lock more moisture in my scalp?

Reasons for dry scalp are:

Shampooing too often: Washing the hair daily but not using a gentle shampoo or rinsing properly can cause difficulties. Also oil treatments only coat the hair.

Scalp dryness can be caused by a number of things including skin disorders such as pshoriasis. If your problem has been going on for more than 2 months, check with your doctor. It could mean something is causing the dryness/dandruff.

Sensitive skin can be easily irritated by oil that is left in the hair. This can start a vicious cycle: the scalp is dry, so a person starts putting in moisturizing oils and conditioners, which causes the scalp to get more irritated and dry, so they use more… and so on.

Any treatment oils you use in the hair should be washed out. Look for healing shampoos and conditioners without wax as wax can smooth out frizzies but it also weighs down the hair and can plug the scalp leading to flaking. Wash your hair a couple of times a week, use gentle shampoo and use conditioners without alcohol or wax. Lastly, speak to your family doctor. He/she can offer other options.

a nice fall rain ?? jj . oil , not moisture is what the scalp is needing. so it's not washing the hair as often as usual . I also have read that showering every day robs the body of useful oils, that keep it healthy ,younger , longer .
