it will burn ur hair so bad making it dry, split ends, i would use a mild setting then adjust heat slowly if not try to use a bit of egg white on hair to give bounce then wash out and then use heater, it does work also u can use steam believe it or not, wwwpaulmitchell.ca try that site! good luck,

Yes it will. I went to a website and asked the question because I have never heard of an iron getting that hot. The answer is yes, just the same as the summer sun damaging your hair and fading the color, so will the iron at that temperature. So "cool" it with the heat so hot!

No but it will totally fry your hair!NEVER turn your iron ur that high! unless you have textured hair.
