Please note: My hair goes up to my bra strap in length... it is jet black... shorter in the front (bang) and long in the back.. should I cut it or let it grow?? Are there any hair stlyists out there that can recommend a specific haircut for my facial structure.. my face is oval shaped!!!

Women seem to have the shiniest hair. In this City, the Asian, black, and Latins have the shiniest hair of all. Are they treating it with some sort of ultra shine hair dressing? It feels normal but looks phenomenal.

When I colour my hair, the colouring only lasts for about a month, then it fades drastically. I used store-brand dye, then I went to a salon to get it done and it only lasted about a month and a half. I see other women whose hair colour lasts for months, still vibrant. What hair dye brands REALLY last for a good while, as in months?

I feel like a total idiot. I have a giant poofball on top of my head. It's like, 5 inches long. She took off 4 inches. I said I wanted one inch off. It's like the lady was deaf! What the heck do I do!!!

my hair is straight and black but after i shower, my straight hair forms a layer of coarse, curly, frizzy, and unruly hair on top of the straight hair. after a day it seems fine. my hair straightener will not flatten them out. if any of you know a good product or cure for this problem-please tell me! (my mom has it too-she says its generic but all i want is soft, smooth, and straight hair) THANKS A LOT!

I've been keeping my hair braided/twisted for months now and I usually just snip my ends, but lately they have been breaking with the rubber bands. Today I'm going to switch to the non-break plastic bands, but for those of you with braids w/ no extensions - how do you keep your ends w/o them unraveling?? Is there anything else besides the plastic/rubber bands???

PS: If you want to throw in some ideas for natural hairstyles (african american), feel free! My hair is shoulder length and it's a wavy/kinky mix - front tends to be naturally thick & wavy, while my kitchen is thick & kinky!! LOL! This is the first time since I was a little girl that my hair has been natural (well almost, my perm has been growing out for 9 months and I've been trimming it; so most of it is natural, although the front has alot of "perm" left in it - I'm too chicken to just cut it all out haha).

Without cutting it? I am trying to grow mine out after having it really short for ages, but now it's driving me mad! The Japanese cartoon character look is not a good one for me. It's just around my ears and in my neck. I have to walk to work as well so anything that will accomplish a result that stays when I step outside will be soooooooooooo much appreciated.

I have had the same style for ever now. I have straight straight golden blonde hair. It is thin and fine. All one length.No bangs either. It is in the middle of my back. I need something new please help. I'm affaid to hack it all off though. I have had layers too before.maybe highlight would help but I need something new all together!
