Women seem to have the shiniest hair. In this City, the Asian, black, and Latins have the shiniest hair of all. Are they treating it with some sort of ultra shine hair dressing? It feels normal but looks phenomenal.

There are lots of products women use on their hair to make it shiny -- conditioners, anti-frizz products, oil, glazes, etc. Some women just have naturally smooth and straight hair that shines without any help -- a gift from Mother Nature. Certain ethnic groups also have naturally shiny hair.

On the other hand, I've seen long hair that looks like a rat's nest; dry, coarse and damaged. Chemical overuse, such as hair dyes and perms can produce this damage.

I think it's a combination of healthy hair and lots of care that gives women their "crowning glory".

healthy hair has a tendency to grow to long lengths.. healthy hair is shiny from the protein that is within the hair shafts. Yes..certain shampoos can give you the same effects but hair that is long is usually healthier than hair that is short and has a hard time growing.

Right?! It has to do with the texture and the means that it became straight. I have no such hair. It lasts one hour on a cold day. My hair favors frizz.
