Hair - July 2006

Well, I'm a 15 year old girl, and I'd like to start waxing my eyebrows. They're not overly bushy, they could just use a good grooming.

So, my question is, how can I bring this up with my mom? We don't really talk about "girl stuff," and it's amaxing how nervous I am to ask her about something as small as waxing my eyebrows!

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair? I have between wavy and curly hair, and it is very frizzy, I like wearing it straight but I'm having trouble finding a straightener that works well on my hair. I'm willing to spend more money on a straightener but I want to know that it works well. Please let me know where its from and the price please!

A while ago I shaved my upper lip (middle school, actually) and ever since it's been growing back and it's more noticeable. It's probably only more noticeable since I shaved it but also my skin is whiter there after its shaved and people notice every now and then. If I were to get it waxed how long would it last before I would have to do it again? I'd get it done professionally. Would it turn really red? And if it were done professionally would there be a very big risk of getting little bumps there?

I have black hair but it's sorta dull so i was wondering if i should dye it black so it will be more dark and shiny, should i do? or will it even make a difference?

Yes, I know I asked this last week, but I'm giving others who may have missed it or haven't answered already a shot at telling their story.

My parents forced me to get a buzzcut in third grade (back when I had hair; see avatar) b/c I made fun of a kid in class who had one.

How about the rest of you? Did a parent/guardian/relative force you as punishment, because they thought it would look cute, or any other reason?

ok well my hair gets oily really fast. the longest that i can go without washing my hair is like only 2 days.
i am not sure what tipe of hair do i have but i dont have much, like its not all puffy and stuff.
what kind of shampoo and conditionare should i use for my tipe of hair and that i could buy in any drug store, cause im really sick of my hair geting oily so fast.

I stop perming my hair about 5 months ago and I'm experiencing lots of breakage and I have a lot of short pieces. I'm thinking of going natural, so I may cut of the relax ends, but I don't know what I should do to stop all the breage, can someone please suggest something for me thanks?

I'm going on a 2-week camping trip in nature. No bathroom or sauna. I usually wash my hair every day because it gets greasy very quickly. What can I do to keep it clean when I probably can't actually wash it as often as I'm used to. Has anyone for example tried the so -called dry-clean sprays, do they work?

i have a little under shoulder legth hair. choppy-like layers.
i got a perm about a yr ago and its grown out some..no matter what i do my hair is frizzy.unless i straighten it..
and when i straighten it it is still kinda frizzy. (blow dryin down hair thing doesnt work, and hairspray and stuff doesnt work)
what can i do about it
