Highlights go on the top of your hair
They look great at first and the roots show quickly!
Low lights go under a layer of hair and peek out!
These are more subtle in look and they last. You cannot see the roots! Low lights are fairly new on the hair scene- so they are also trendy!
Low light or highlight can be any color!

highlights lighten the hair, lowlights darken it. Both give hair dimension

I believe that highlights are lighter than your natural color & lowlights are darker.

Highlights and when you wnat to put lighter color strands in your hair and low lights is the opposite.. I've had both!!
