Is it ok to remove hair from your forehead to make your head look longer? And what is the best way to remove hair from your forehead? Does anybody know about someone who has done this?

If you have a low forehead then there's no reason at all not to do it. I have a very good friend who didn't have much of a forehead because her hairline was so low. Both of her sisters were the same. Two of them went to have the hair removed by a dermatologist with a laser. The 3rd one has it waxed every month to keep the hairline back. She goes to Elizabeth Arden to have it done.

None of these are exactly cheap, but it beats having no forehead. The only caveat is that you definitely want a professional to do this for you because you could really mess things up trying it on yourself.

You have to have a professional do this-- and don't just pick someone from the phone book. Consider doing a consultation with a good cosmetic/plastic surgeon. Talk to a dermatologist.

This is actually a fairly common procedure. The usual way to have the hairline altered is through electrolysis. The most famous example: Rita Hayworth. Yes, the famous redhead actually had black hair and a serious widow's peak.

Don't mess around with this yourself. There is no way to hide errors.

Good luck!

... One, there is not enough hair from a forehead to be enough for extension hair. Two, if you hack off your fringe, you will have the most unsightly crown of hair EVER. It will look atrocious and it won't work. Please promise me you will keep well away from scissors.

I don't think that is a very good idea- you would probably end up with a very unnatural looking hairline.

Maybe you could just change your hairstyle.
