Whenever I get a haircut I'm always amazed at how clean and shiny my hair looks once it's been washed and blown dry. Is there some sort of trick to this? It can't just be the shampoo because even when I use the same shampoos at home my hair doesn't look so clean, shiny and bouncy. How do they do it??

I'm wondering if perhaps the difference is that salons have filters to remove minerals from the water they wash your hair with whereas I have hard water at home.

i am getting a HUGE deal on 2nd hand clothing. so good a deal i feel like i'm practicaly stealing. i decided to give more monty than the orig price to the seller bcse of how good a deal i'm getting. but not a huge amount more. should i still feel almost guilty?

i've been thinking about experimenting with a bit more hip hop female style...i don't mean baggy clothing like boys or hos and stuff...

I'd like to put a few streaks of purple in my hair. However, I don't know what makers of hair dye/hair color offer purple. I've seen beautiful shades of it on random strangers, but either I don't have a chance to ask them what they use, or I *do* ask but then forget what they told me. :(

Can anyone recommend a good maker of semi-permanent or demi-permanent PUPRLE hair color/dye, where I can buy it, and also the price, if you know it? Thank you! :)

I used to get a lot when i was younger, but my dad had a stroke and so we can't afford as much. So now i only get like $60 of my own money. My aunt used to take me and my brother on a back to school shopping trip each year but she got divorced and i'm not sure if she's taking us this year since things are tight with money. Im having real trouble with peeling the skin off my fingers. I know, its really gross, but I cant stop. Ive done it since I was a child.
The problem is, the stuff that I tried to put on my nails (the stuff that tastes really bad...) does not help at all.
I play guitar, and it really hurts my fingers, because again, im peeling the skin off my fingers and cant stop... So I cant use lotion or anything to stop me...
I've tried chewing on pencils, sweaters, etc. but they dont work either...
