I went to JC Penney's today to buy a slip for a skirt that is too transparent. I was informed they no longer carry them. Am I old fashioned?

no! i still wear slips when needed. it is tacky to wear a transparent skirt. go to wal-mart, i just bought one!

It is not old fashioned to wear a slip. Many of the newer skirts I have bought are lined or thicker, so I think there is less of a need for slips.

When a young Princess Diana was photographed not wearing a slip and we were able to see her legs through the skirt, she was chastised for not wearing one. Oprah pointed out that the only thing you can see through a see-through skirt are legs. I haven't worn one since.

i am noticing them going out of style as well. i recently saw an article in a magazine that people are not really wearing them anymore.......but i guess u can wear watever u want.......my mom still likes me to wear a slip though...:)
