When I watch news programs and the anchor person is wearing lots of make up, I tend to concentrate on all the different colors on their faces more than what they are saying. I know that some of the male anchors are also wearing make up (for the lighting), but their's is done to look almost undetectable. Some of the women have it on so heavy that they look like circus clowns? What's up with that?

I'm going to prom this year as a chapperone. I'm older... 23. I'd like to wear a 1950's halter style dress. I like the polka dot style dresses but I don't think they're dressy enough for a prom. Then, I decided that I'd love a 50's style halter dress that's black with little pink wrenches... so long as it was dressy enough for a prom. Any ideas where to find this? Or where to find fabric to attempt to create this? I'm also open to other dress ideas so long as it's retro.

In a town? In a mall? Near a college? Online? From a catalogue? Where have you had the most success getting fashionable (but not hugely high-priced) business wear?

I live in northern VA and it's EXPENSIVE out here! I don't need name brands. I need two weeks worth of office clothes as right now I only have one suit. I can shop at Tyson's Corner (an expensive set of malls), a regular mall, DC, Fairfax (expensive town-ish area), or the somewhat ghetto area near University of Maryland.

Hi all, it has been two month since i moved to usa from india,my skin is becoming very dry(every few hrs) and also i am losing my hair badly. I got few Lotus products(cream) from India and Pantene shampoo i am not sure whether i have to change my products here to suit this climate. Can you please suggest me some good products in usa (would like to know the specific name, bcos i am not good in picking them up) and where i can get them. what is the aversge height and shoe size for a 14 year old boy. im 5`4 i wear a size 7.0 mens. Is it normal for 14 year old girls to be alot taller than me they are like 5-7 intches taller than me. it`s very intimidating. its like walking around giants.
