I had the same thing happen to me, everytime I had my eyebrows waxed 9and I had them done professionally). Some people just have more sensative skin than others. Lucky for me, it wasn't serious and a day or two later my skin was back to normal. The skin in that area can be sensative, so you might want to use something easy on it, like an aloe vera gel thats designed for after you've been sunburned. Waxing your eyebrows is a great way to get the shape you want for them, however, usually after having them waxed once or twice, you should be able to keep up the same look by tweezing them everyday at home with a quality pair of tweezers. Revlon and Avon both make good tweezers, in my experience. Also, try replacing your tweezers at least once every six months, so they don't get dull. This will keep the time you spend plucking/tweezing down to a minamum (who wants to spent 2 hours plucking thier eyebrows??...id much rather spend 15 minutes...). At first, it may take you a while to get used to plucking your eyebrows and getting them just right, but after some practice, your daily time should be cut dwon to 10 to 20 minutes, maybe even less.
hope this helps!!

Refrigerate some aloe vera gel and use this on the burned skin. I think perhaps the wax was too hot. I have never been a fan of eyebrow waxing. I tweeze my brows. If that is not your thing, look for a salon that provides "stringing". There are no hot substances applied to skin for this process. It is done with a looped string that is rolled over the areas removing unwanted hair.

Well i think your salon had the wax to hot. I get my eyebrows done every two weeks, the wax is suppose to be hot(a comforting hot) Not to be judgmental on race but, i go to the nail shop to get my nails done by the Chinese and i think they do the best nails and eyebrows. i don't have to tell them the way that i want them done, they just look and see want needs to be done and they look great every time. But u should put some cocoa butter or a moisturizer that has Aloe Vera in it, put in in the fridge for like 15 minutes then apply on eyebrows.

Ouch! Wax was probably too hot! Try aloe gel or a cool pack to lessen the swelling and heat. It will cool down, but before you get waxed again (if you try) take an anti-inflammatory or painkiller to reduce the bodies reaction of heat and swelling. Let your esthetician know that it burned last time and she should lower the heat or use a coolant afterwards. Good luck!

attempt cooling it with a chilly wash textile or positioned ice cubes right into a wash textile and carry them over your eyebrows. i could call the salon the place you had them performed and ask what type of wax they use. If this is a few thing distinctive than well-known, you will be able to correctly be having an allergic reaction. If the soreness keeps and it swells greater, and you think of it would desire to be an allergic reaction, take Benedryl and spot if the swelling is going down. attempt to postpone utilising makeup on the sore components too considering the fact that might upload to the inflammation! solid success!

definitly go back to wear you got them done because they left the wax on for too long. they shouldnt be burned. right after you get them they will be irratated and red but no burned. that means they need to refund your money and dont get them waxed anymore. just use a tweezer and pluck them. or if you have any places like spa's or salons that do threading eyebrows you wont feel a thing. they use a fine string to pluck them and they come out amazing.

I used to get my eyebrows waxed. Put lotion on the skin. also, if it burned you, that meant that the wax was too hot. next time you go, ask them to not turn it on until 15 minutes before your appointment, bc you were previously burned.

When you get them waxed try not to exfoliate your face with and facial washes or scrubs like that. In fact don't wash your face with soap. (As un healthy as it sounds.) Should your skin still get burned or turn red put plain yogurt on them for about 20 mins. If the burning still occurs apply the yogurt again.

You have sensitive skin, such as myself .Did you get your waxing from a salon? I have no patience to do them my self so I go to the salon however I tell them my skin is extremely sensitive to be careful and not to get the wax too hot plus to hurry and take it off and to make such to put something on it after their done, such as Vaseline, vitamin e baby powder, most salon do have some kind of ointment to put on the for after your wax job.
