You can straighten but every time you do, you are relaxing and breaking down what you paid a lot of money for. I am a 12 yr hairdresser and chemical specialist.

1. Yes, you can straighten a spiral perm by blowing it out straight and then use straightening iron.
2. If you straighten it often, you will start loosing the curl in your perm.
3. Just use your favorite shampoo for permed hair. Pantene has a lot of good products.
4. Sorry I don't know where to get one there.

I'm a bit confused. You want to get a perm, but you want to be able to straighten it? Or you already have a perm and you want to get rid of it.
Well you have 2 options. You could straighten it with a straightening balm and a blowdryer with a good concentrator, and NO, it won't effect your permed curl pattern since that pattern has been permanently set by the perm solution. (It permanently restructures the hairs curl pattern)
OR you could reverse a perm with a product by Rusk called Anit-Curl. It's a very gentle relaxer type thing, but it's made of the same chemicals as a perm is, so you can use it to take a perm out of your hair. Hope that helps.
