I've finally found something that works for me. I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. Expensive, but marvelous. It has menthol so it exposes the scalp. AFTER that, I use Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment (The orange stuff, best you can buy over the counter). Lastly, I use the Tea Tree conditioner to moisturize.
If that still doesn't work, it's time to see a dermatologist and get a prescription. Don't stop until you get it fixed. Unfortunately, people react very negatively to dandruff, especially if you're young, and assume things about you that can hurt you socially and professionally.

There are medicated shampoo's for serious cases of dandruff. Go to a pharmacy and enquire about them.
Also use vitamin E. My bf use to have and his own cleared up within a week of using it. You can get vitamin E in any pharmacy. I'm referring to the oil based one. It comes in 2forms, capsules that you can burst and use the oil or the oil comes packaged in a bottle. After you shampoo your hair, pour some of the Vitamin E oil in a plate, or cover or something [becuase you only need a little]. Part out your hair and on each path, dab you finger in the oil and rub on your scalp. Do this for you whole hair. ONLY put the oil on your scalp, not your hair. When you done massage your scalp for about 5mins. Style as you want. When I did this for my bf results starting showin withing a couple days.
You have to deal with it quickly becuase your dandruff can form into a fungus that makes layers of your scalp itself start to peel off.
Trust me, the viatmin E works. It's been 2weeks since I 1st did it for him and he has no more.

Just use a dandruff shampoo. If you dont like the ones that you can get at the store like Head and Shoulders, if those arent working, your doctor can prescribe you one.

go to a drugstore and get vo5 hot oil treatment. i used to do hair and it works really good. Also get a good moisturizing conditioner and leave it in for 5-10 minutes. then rinse it with cool water. Try not to use any gels that are cheap because it could be the gel.
