I need some techniques for vampyre looking photographs. My models already have the vamp. spirit but that's not quite good enough. I'm not looking for anything specific, just a couple of photography techniques.

I've had a Sony F828 digital camera (8mp) for almost 2 years, but I haven't a clue when it comes to all the manual settings on it. I tend to use the automatic mode. There's speed priority, apperture, and loads of other modes.

Is iso 64 only to be used during the day, or can I use it during the night, what's the main difference between say iso 64 and iso 800.

Any tips welcome, and any good sites where I can do some reading up would be great. Thanks :)

Why don't I photograph well? I'm not saying I'm a 10/10, but I'm not ugly, I'm thinking it has something to do with lighting, my camera, or my hair style. I notice in digital pictures my jawline or hairline kind of look weird, or not defined. Most of the pictures I take are in my house. I've tried different lighting etc, I just can't figure out what it is, maybe 1/20 pictures look decent.

I recently found an old family album that has pictures as far back as the 1800's. And of course they are fading away.

I was wondering what is the best way to make copies of these pictures so everyone in my family can get a copy of the album.

can I just stick them in my scanner or will this harm the photos in anyway.

Before now I have ordered them on-line from a regular company, but I would like it to be more confidential on where I order my prints (not have the name printed on the back and have better quality). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just wondering if you guys actually look at the photos, or is it all automated by machinery? Or, where would one go to print naughty pictures without getting funny looks when you pick up?

Hi,

I would like to buy a printer that would be able to print on canvas- not necessarily on an enormous scale, but saying A3-ish as a max. Do you need a specific type of printer top do this- if so, which ones do you recommend? Secondly, what sort of things am I looking for in a decent one- say what DPI for example.

I hope someone out there can help me, as I'm quite new to this sort of thing and thought it would be a nice hobby to print my digital images onto canvas. I don't know if anyone could advise a good place within the UK to purchase one (apart from ebay), but if you could let me know that would also be wonderful.

Thanks in advance.

Could you think about a photographic image of a person, an object, an event or a symbol? (Apart from Migrant Mother by Dorothea Lange, Che by Kouda or Eddy Adam's Execution of A Vietcong Suspect) What's your favourite one? :)

I just bought a strobe and softbox kit, how do I get it to sync with my Canon EOS digital rebel xt? I will be taking photos at a club tomorrow night and will be taking pictures. I will need the continuous light on from the softbox and I tested it this morning - but I am having trouble adjusting my camera settings and the strobe settings. How do I do it? I also purchased a hot shoe safe sync from WEIN that supposedly works with my camera to put on the hot shoe and sync with the PC cord that goes with the strobe. It seems to only work when I use my other external flash though (canon speedlite 430) because that flash triggers the strobes. I dont even know if the WEIN hot shoe sync works.

I would think weddings and babies not always in that order.
A midwife asked if it was OK to send photos of a woman giving birth to the chemist. He said "Birth is fine, it is conception we have a problem with"
