Is it true that if you take a photograph and put it up on a website without permission that it is illegal?

If so.....

Is there any way that someone could enforce this? What are the consequences?

I'm just curious to know what your opinion is as this is a photo I have in my portfolio. Nobody besides my family has seen it and I'd like some unbiased feedback. Thanks for looking.

I mean, really. Considering everybody else's photos either suck or are 'normal'... What amazing new photos has this self-proclaimed 'pro photographer/painter' taken? I want to know what the extention of this person's conscienceness looks like (as opposed to a 'false reality'). I know I've had the cajones to post my pics for the world to see. Does MyNameHere?

...so much fluff from a 'pro' who doesn't understand that sometimes people are just having fun taking pics. Sometimes there is no plan to get them hung in a gallery. Not to mention, some people don't have the money for a professional camera and some people might get in a bit of trouble with the police/military if they made their picture-taking obvious by, say, bringing a camera instead of just a little cell phone 'for calls home'.

I am making a calendar, and would like it to be pretty high quality, something that people will actually want to hang on their wall...but NOT expensive to print...are there printers that will print about 15-20 copies of the calendar for a reasonable price? Is this even possible to do? If NOT, how else could I print it, to make it look professional, without using a printing company?
FINALLY! Are there any computer programs/downloads that are programs specifically made for designing calendars OR that have a calendar layout... thanks :)

I own a Kodak CX-7500 camera, which has been a great camera. My pictures are very clear, but the colors are just sort of normal. It's sorta like the Claritin commercial, where the picture looks clear, until that clear cover thing is lifted and all of the colors appear brighter. Nothing is wrong with my camera; I just want to make my colors look brighter, more like the pictures of beaches in travel magazines. I don't know a lot about photography, but I think it probably has something to do with color saturation. Am I right? Anyways, are there settings I can change on my camera to make the colors look brighter, or are there programs I can use that will improve the color of pictures I have already taken? My camera doesn't take different lenses, so that won't work. Any suggestions?

Sorry I know I already asked this, but for clarification, It is going to be a digital image (RAW) I'm not sure if inkjet is the best option, and I am not too upset if it has to be panels which fit together. The exhibtion space is large, so the viewer will have no problems viewing the image from close up, but the point is to create a sense of scale anyway. Thanks for any help anyone can give. By reasonable I mean less than £700. cheers

I am trying to build a portfolio that I can have on hand at all times to show my work and try to get the word out that I am trying to get into photography. I also know that another good way to get your name out there and for people to see your work is to get a web-site. Have any of you ever done your own web-site, like homestead or ready web? It's where you build your own web-site. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I'm taking an on-line course right now. There's not a lot of competition where I'm from. And from checking out their web-sites they don't have photos that come even close to mine. My friends and family have been puching me for awhile now to do something about this. I've done a lot of friends and family for a little money here and there. I am currently in a very stressful work environment and am looking for an alternative.
