I mean, really. Considering everybody else's photos either suck or are 'normal'... What amazing new photos has this self-proclaimed 'pro photographer/painter' taken? I want to know what the extention of this person's conscienceness looks like (as opposed to a 'false reality'). I know I've had the cajones to post my pics for the world to see. Does MyNameHere?

...so much fluff from a 'pro' who doesn't understand that sometimes people are just having fun taking pics. Sometimes there is no plan to get them hung in a gallery. Not to mention, some people don't have the money for a professional camera and some people might get in a bit of trouble with the police/military if they made their picture-taking obvious by, say, bringing a camera instead of just a little cell phone 'for calls home'.

I'm not sure I understand your question. I do like looking at other people's photos, though, as long as they're nothing that would bother me. Sometimes I click on a link to look at a photo, and it's someone bleeding! Yuck! Who needs to see that?

But if someone just wants their photos critiqued, I'll do it. I just don't like when I take the time to tell them how they can improve their photos, and all they wanted to hear was "Wow! You're good!"

Is "MyNameHere" an actual person? Is there a link for their photos?

Okay, I looked at their answers. What a jerk! Unfortunately, there are people like that around here. Just ignore them like you would ignore a jerk in real life.

They're probably so insecure because their own work is sub-par anyway.

Actually, it is quite possible that the woman is the child's mother. Before birth control came along, it wasn't at all uncommon for women to keep having children until they reached menopause. Not only that, but I once saw a picture from the late 19th century of a woman in the East End of London. She looked like she was in her 40s or 50s, but it was said that she was actually in her 20s or 30s. Since people lived harder lives back then and they didn't have an abundance of beauty products like we do now, it wasn't uncommon for them to look prematurely aged in our eyes. Of course, I don't know anything about the woman or the child in the photo, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the woman is the child's mother.
