I always loved reflections. Hmmm… Reflections on the floor, or a marble on a reflective table. Reflections of looking into the water. Something in the water breaking the reflections in waves or ripples. It would be interesting to combine reflections with movement and distances. Play with the AV and the shutter speed of the camera as well.

You can play with story or history as well to illustrate reflections. An old person remembering the past. Comparing old times with new. A falling apart structure next to a new one.

I like photography, but if I was you, I would go to a small lake at about almost dusk where there would be trees hanging over water, as the sun comes down, take some shots of the reflection made by the leaves on the tree reflecting on the lake (make sure that the lake is clear and flat) as the sun comes down, I'm not sure but I've done my best to help :)

I hoped this help answer your question
Have a nice day!
Kind Regards, Timothy H

I have 2 photos that fit that category

One is called "Creatures of the Brandywine" and is a sideways reflections shot of the bank that has every thing from man to beast to bird that has or does live along the banks of the river.

The Second is a Flowering bush or tree over water and it is very difficult to tell the difference in the reflected parts or the real parts.

first none of these pictures are good enough to make their way into a photo contest. no offense. they look really unprofessional and randomly taken at 3:00 in the morning by a drunk with a cell phone, no angle, no artistic vision no nothing they're all missing something and seem really "messy" or dirty not nasty dirty just unclean. they are amateur and need lots of work they are... i cant find the right word but aren't good at all. im not trying to be mean im trying to be truthful with the kindest words possible, others may lie and say they are perfect but what would that do for you? as for pretty wise, i think, everyone is gorgeous in their own way, but for society standards.................but keep trying for that contest you have everything to learn to learn i wouldn't suggest going to someplace for lessons because with photography you are either born with it-or not, you no offense are not

I would find an elderly gentleman and take a picture of him, eyes to the ground, sitting and reflecting, he's gotta be old though. I took one like this of an old man who still plants a garden in the middle of our city similar to this and it's beautiful, he was sitting in front of his garden on a fold out chair, with his head down thinking and I pulled over and asked if I could take his picture .Even made a couple of people cry.

If it were me, I'd do a contradiction. For example; an old woman sitting at a vanity looking at her reflection, only in the mirror is her younger image.
