Sorry I know I already asked this, but for clarification, It is going to be a digital image (RAW) I'm not sure if inkjet is the best option, and I am not too upset if it has to be panels which fit together. The exhibtion space is large, so the viewer will have no problems viewing the image from close up, but the point is to create a sense of scale anyway. Thanks for any help anyone can give. By reasonable I mean less than £700. cheers

I think you may have to crop the image into several smaller ones which can be printed AO (4'x3') then physically paste them together onto a backing sheet. Try Snappy Snaps, I know they have AO printers.

Well as I suspected there will be some issues here, unless you derived the image from a robust digital camera such as 39 megapixel Hasselblad H2 you are going to probably run into a fair amount of digital artifacting when printing this large. So forget about a lightjet print, and just go for an agency which uses large format Epson printers. Even at this size the price should be less than £700, of course the image will have to be tiled. Regarding where to go for these services, I am not sure where to go in the UK, and would start by looking for photo finishing or digital labs in the phone book. In the future if you plan to print this large, consider purchasing a 4x5 or 8x10 view camera as the negatives yield the proper amount of information to enlarge to this size.

There are two companies I would recommend. The first is Liaisons UK Ltd. www.liaisonsuk.net
raymond@liaisonsuk.net. He can do it panels and does giclee printing. A special form of inkjet that gives an excellent print. He has never failed to give me great quality work.

The second is a company called Set and Match www.setandmatch.net. They printed one of my pictures bigger than you want in seperate panels and the quality was perfect.

I have used psprint.com in the past for vinyl banners, and I thought that they did a great job. I'm not sure if vinyl would work for your situation. Maybe they also do paper now...

Look in yellow pages for any professional digital printer / lithographer.
If they dont have a machine to do it, they will know who will.
