I think your work is quite nice. As to why no one comments? I noticed on one of your accounts that you had already critiqued yourself and put your work down. Maybe others feel that you are so hard on yourself that no matter what they say it won't matter. Or maybe, more logically, your work just isn't their cup of tea. Remember, art is very subjective. But that doesn't mean you aren't good.

There is nothing wrong with your camera. It isn't just the camera that makes a photographer good. The photographer's vision, I feel, is much more important. So my suggestion is to stick to what you do best...taking the photographs. Leave the critiquing to others. You can critique your own work, decide on how you can achieve what you are looking for next time, but keep it private. Let others form their own thoughts on how they perceive your work. Besides, by nature, we are our own worst critic. Keep up the good work.

I've been a photographer for 25 years. I've learned many things, including if you ask 100 people for their opinion on photographs (or almost anything else for that matter) and you'll get 100 different answers. In the end, the opinion that matters most is yours.

Personnaly, I like your photos. You show an eye for compostion, which is key for a photographer. I have a few suggestions:

- Find the manual for the camera and experiment. Digital cameras (even those made several years ago) have numerous features that the average person has no idea exists.

- Look for a local camera club in your area. A good place to start might be http://www.meetup.com, which has a section for local photographers.

- If you are thinking about Glamour photography specifically, check out web sites like:

http://www.onemodelplace.com
http://www.modelmayhem.com

These have free membership levels and offer forums for those more interested in Glamour photography.

- Finally, I don't know what software (if any) you are using, but start to investigate the wide variety of photo editing software available. While Photoshop is probably the best (and most expensive), there are numerous other programs that have incredible capablity available. Some are actually free, like http://www.picasa.com.

Hope this helps.

You definetely are not bad, you can figure that out by checking out other sites online. You have a very distinctive style which is very nice and seems to have a lot of feeling put into it.
If you want to expand your abilities as a photographer, force yourself to step outside of what you are comfortable shooting. Take photos of a sports event or a car show for example. The skills you pick up doing that will make you a more well rounded and capable photographer.
In terms of exposure, make sure you can make out details in the darkest part of your photo and you should have the correct exposure.

And the reason you probably aren't getting comments is that most people who comment do so when they get comments on their site. Go to some other photo blogs and websites and comment and I'm sure you'll get more vistors and comments.
The link below is a great resource for photoblogs.

In my opinion, your photos show a good eye and your own personal photographic stlye- all very good things! I don't know how new you are to photography, but it would be great if you could take and post some photos of other subjects and people besides Natalie (I'm not trying to say she's hard to look at or anything, just want to see more of a variety). I like how you played around with the photos you took of her and tried chaning contrasts and stuff. I don't know if this was all you or her, but I also like how you're posing her, getting her to try different positions and outfits...your readiness to do those things is refreshing. I also saw your photo of the rows of trees, which was my personal favourite- but that may just be because I love nature shots best. My biggest piece of advice to pass on is to move your subject around in the photo. Whatever it is, it doesn't have to be in the middle. Just play around with your subject positioning and cropping, as that can have a very dramatic effect on your photo outcomes. That's all I've got...hope it's been helpful!

I looked at your flickr - that's the one with several shots of the same girl? Very promising.
The trouble with flickr is that it is so large and complicated. Far too many images and the members seem to be in cliques.
Let me recommend an alternative.
www.les-plus-simples.com
which is a temporary site while we wait for our new site to be launched. There are very few members, so the responses won't be that many but you will get responses. Guaranteed.
I won't comment on each individual image at this point but I will if you post them at the rate of one a day on the site I have told you of. So will others. You are not alone.

I really like your photo's one thing to play with is move the subject out of the center of the pictures. Try reading up on the rule of thirds. http://www.silverlight.co.uk/tutorials/compose_expose/thirds.html is what i found on a quick search. I really like the contrast in your photo's. Don't let your camera dictate your art. keep it up and remember to get model releases even from your friends so it does bite you in the butt latter. :) If you feel like getting back at me for the comments feel free www.imageryoftheimagination.com or where most of my pictures are in my store at http://www.cafepress.com/ioti/774843

They're very interesting--and different! Not the usual flowers and stuff. But you shouldn't complain about your lousy camera quality in your picture captions. Can you get a better camera?

You're ok. Your stuff reminds me of some of the stuff I saw in photography school. Many people tend to take "normal" stuff like yours. Its good but nothing excited or new. Insert girl in landscape... seen it.
