I need some techniques for vampyre looking photographs. My models already have the vamp. spirit but that's not quite good enough. I'm not looking for anything specific, just a couple of photography techniques.

Lol, yes fake blood and fangs. I'm not dumb. I want a little more than that.

Black and white photos grainy look to them or as sharp as you can, close shots of necks and cleavages, face looking into camera or up and away with mouth open showing fangs. lace and frills or something tight and slinky for women, dark suits with white open necked shirts for men. Skin as white as possible but no blemishes to be seen. Hair black, long and lustrous (in women) shoulder length and slightly curled if a male. Backgrounds to be subtle and plain such as an empty room or cellar etc.

Lighting from underneath always makes people look a little creepier (casting deep shadows under the eyes). Aside from fake blood you can do wonders with makeup, white powdered faces & brown/purple eyeshadow and dark black eyeliner all around the eyes for that undead look. Backlighting may also work. The important thing is to cast shadows! Have the room dark except for a single stark light source so half the face is in darkness. Far more dramatic & haunting. Also, shoot in black & white for a timeless quality...

Good luck. Happy haunting!

What about trying some filters. for mist, a "blood" tinge or use sepia, I think that helps with the mysterious look.
