Have you bought into the digital camera hype? Spending more for per actual printed picture than film? The majority of people probably delete more pictures in a week than they ever took with film. How many of us even print our work anymore? Has the "keeper" ratio increased with digital? Or has consumerism won again? Has digital positively improved your photographic skills? Will we lose our photgraphic history to crashed hard drives and unstable backup media? Rhetorical, I bought a DSLR last March.

I desperately need Adobe Photoshop Cs2 but I'm low on cash since i bought my Nikon D80, my friend said she bought a "portable" one for only $70. I looked on ebay but cannot find it. She said she uses a CD but cannot install it. Where can I find this or where can i find the software really cheap?

Please helppp.

I friend of mine e-mailed me some cool 8x10 photos, but they are in .tif format. I would like to upload to a photo developing website and have them print for me. However, they only accept .jpeg files.

Hello, there, I have a digital SLR camera (cannon 350d, if that helps). Its great, and takes great photos, of people, buildings, etc. But I had a problem the other day with the focus. I was trying to take a picture of a small bear (which was about 30cms from the camera) in front of a large buidling (which was across the rd, some distance away). I tried both auto focus and manual focus, but my camera would either focus on the bear (with the background blurry), or focus on the building (with the bear blurry). A normal (non SLR), un focus-able camera would be able to get both clear in the one shot, but I am not sure what setting I need to put my camera on to be able to get the foreground AND background clear and in focus. Any ideas? Thanks!

The mounts (frames) could be approximately 3 3/4" x 3 3/4", 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" or 10 cm by 10 cm, metal, card board, or plastic.

Who agrees with me that photograpy should not be degital, i think the because automation destroys creativity, with black and whit 35mm it takes creativity , a good "photgraphic eye"and experiance to make a good print, with digital you can take the worst shot ever and make it look amazing using photoshop i personally think this is cheating and i do all my work in a dark room never on a computer.

I really want to take my photography to the next step. Right now I'm using an ancient Minolta or a 4mp camera. I want something reasonable in price, can take a great photo whether it's a landscape or family, won't be outdated by next year, and isn't so complicated I have to carry the manual in my purse. I'm really wanting to do some freelance stuff so it'd have to look good. Any suggestions?
