You can't

Because its an SLR (Single Lense Reflex) camera the mirror located directly in front of the receptor must raise just before the picture is taken.
As long as that mirror is there then the receptor cant see anything, and you can't lock it up.

So basically if you want a snap and shoot, trade the D80 in for a Nikon powershot.

You cannot. The Olmypus E-330 is the only DSLR that permits live viewing on the LCD of what's going on real time in front of the lens.
