I am an amateur digital photographer. I am familiar with Canon cameras, and unfortunately, can't pay the price of any of the digitial SLRs right now. I heard Sony and Nikon are the other two contenders.

I've seen some AMAZING photos done this way, but have no clue what it is, or how it is done. Can anyone open my eyes to this art?

I took a photo out of a window on a rainy day so there are water molecules everywhere. How can I get rid of them in Photoshop?

I really do not know why different cameras produce different quality movies.

For example, in big blockbuster movies, there is a matte glossy magazine-like quality to the picture - compare this to Eastenders (UK) where it looks more like real-life.

Anyone know why big budget films look so different to real life?

Hi

I enjoy photography - taking mostly landscapes and scenery. However, I am very much a beginner, and would appreciate constructive feedback on my photos from other more experienced photographers (no serious critiscism - just constructive feedback!).

Is there such a web-site I could join? Any recommended?

Hello fellow yahooers...
I am looking for ANYONE who knows of any dark photographers and I dont mean dark as in the dark I mean dark as in depressing or "goth" or well...you get my point. Or if anyone can tell me any photographers who take photos of club scenes that would be nice too. The thing is the photographers have to take black and white prints and have to be somewhat well known not just some teenager expierimenting with a camera. If anyone knows any names or websites involving any of the above that would be MUCH APPRECIATED and I would forever worship whoever tells me of a good one I can use for a project Im doing.

Much Thanks
-Disco

I need a cheap photographer for my senior pics!! I live in Addison,Texas which is pretty much Dallas,Texas. If anyone knows of a photographer who does senior pics and has very resonable prices let me know. I don't want to go broke for pictures.. but I also want them to be able to capture the right side of me.

I'm a photographer and I find it very hard to get decent locations for photoshoots. All I need is lightly furnished, lived in rooms. The less loked after the better. But I really struggle to get access to these locations. Any ideas?

I'm in London.

I would like to shoot a character giving a monologue into a mirror; I want the shot to be head on, but I don't want the camera in the shot via the reflection.

I am getting the following warning, but previewing my pics look fine:
Not Recommended
This photo will not look good in print. The image resolution is too low and will produce a grainy or blurry picture.

what can I do and my credit cards will not process for ordering gift cards.

i'm a new photographer who, after taking a year of photography at school, wants to buy my own professional camera. i miss it too much not to!

where / how should i start looking? i know what i want, so if you have any suggestions, feel free:

i'm looking for a digital camera that works like a normal film camera--i want to be able to focus, adjust appeture, shutter speed, etc. can digital cameras have interchangable lenses? if so, that too. i don't care how large the screen is, because odds are i won't be using it much. something really good, but not TOO professional. something for beginners that i won't want to get rid of in a month.

suggestions?? even a brand, website, or hint would be wonderful...

thanks!

The photograph is an old family portrait which was hanging on a wall I didn't know was damp. When I looked at it after returning from holiday, it's covered in green spots of mould. It's dry now, and most of the image is visible, but how would I go about removing the mould or restoring the image? Is there anything I should avoid doing? Can anyone recommend a good photograph restorer who has done the same? Thanks!

I've asked this question before a while back, but think there weren't enough pros out there answering. If George Lucas can blow up an 8mm digital frame from 35mm Anamorphich to 70mm, and if Kodak can blow up a 35mm transparency to an roughly twenty foot Duratrans in Grand Central Station, isn't it logical that a very well photographed Super 8mm negative or reversal film using a Cine Chain and possibly wet gate printing could be blown up to 35mm Anamorphic? ( Let's don't forget what Techniscope really is ) or are the film manufacturers and studios afraid of film work coming from such outside fringes?
