I've just started attending a digital photography course and I've an assignment to do over christmas to take photo whilst using the skills and techniques I've learned. i'm looking to take a wildlife photography trip across the US. I want to find a large variety in animals from moose to wolves to bears, etc. I'm not interested in fish, whales, nor alligators on this trip. Also, any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

I already have Picasa from Google but what other free photo editing software can I download and where from. Im trying to scan old photos and then convert them to standard size so I can upload them and get them printed in a photobook.... Or do I need to buy a software suite and which one?

Im wanting to scan in all my old childhood photos to then upload them to a website to have them printed in a photobook. Ive already tried but when they are scanned in they are of small size and cannot be enlarged/cropped etc and just appear in the corner of a page. What software do I need or does anyone know how I can do this easily? Please help, Im really desperate to do this so I can pass it on to my daughter in years to come.
